With an alleged {pound}45 budget and actors recruited via the likes of Facebook, you'd expect this bargain-basement British horror to be terrible. But beneath the shaky camcorder visuals and amateur dramatics, there's actually a watchable little film. A tale of a UK zombie apocalypse told unusually from the flesh-muncher's perspective, it centres on the eponymous Londoner (Alastair Kirton), as he joins the rising ranks of suburban undead and provides the link between a series of grisly and inventively shot vignettes. Debut writer/director Marc Price works wonders with his limited resources, concentrating on his atmosphere-building skills rather than narrative substance. Consequently, while the material is too flimsy for its running time, the sound design is good and the effects look surprisingly realistic. The zombies themselves are particularly effective, leaving it to the "living" to let the side down with ironically stilted performances that barely register fear or pain.

Our hero Colin is bitten by a zombie; he dies and returns from the dead. We follow him as he wanders through suburbia during the throes of a cadaverous apocalypse.
