In this TV movie, Margaret Colin (Independence Day) powerfully portrays a wife and mother who finds her life shattered when she accidentally hits a child with her car. After leaving the scene to call for help, she returns only to hear the outraged reaction from onlookers who believe it's a hit-and-run and decides to keep quiet. As her life falls apart she must wrestle with her conscience as well as the detective who suspects her. Writer Karen Stillman's thoughtful script and Colin's intense but restrained performance keep this tale of an innocent woman trapped by circumstance effective throughout.
