Director Bob Swaim's misfiring attempt at a Hitchcock-style thriller set among the Long Island yachting fraternity has the advantage of good performances by Rob Lowe and Meg Tilly. Otherwise, it's a rather dumb and violent affair as Tilly, the timid heiress, is married to gigolo Lowe as part of a long-term plot to kill her and get her millions. Sleek boats and beautiful beaches give it the glossy look of a holiday commerical, but an over-the-top portrayal of villainy from John Glover and several out-of-the-blue character changes make it totally implausible.

A recently orphaned heiress meets a young racing yacht captain on Long Island. He shows interest in her and, being heiress to $200,000,000, love may not be the reason.
