Husband and wife Mike and Linda Olsen work as oceanic scientist in an underground base. When a UFO crashes near the research centre, it causes the region's shark population to develop an insatiable blood lust. Mike and Linda face a race against time to uncover the reason behind the change in behaviour if they want to save their own lives and those of everyone in the region. An oceanic observation station is in desperate trouble after a sudden shark attack wrecked the oxygen supply. The accompanying ship, a coast guard cruiser, and other ships in and around the Bermuda triangle are attacked as well. The US Navy sends a submarine to investigate, but soon they too are under attack.
