This romantic comedy stars Jennifer Lopez as Zoe, a rather unlikely pet shop owner who uses a sperm donor to get pregnant, only to meet her perfect mate, Stan (Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin), immediately afterwards. The story, by Will & Grace writer Kate Angelo, lurches awkwardly from romance to break-up and back again in an attempt to create some tension, but the chemistry between Lopez and O'Loughlin is too stagey to be convincing. The outlandish events in this half-baked comedy would never happen in real life - on any planet - even though it boasts home-birth scenes worthy of a Farrelly Brothers' gross-out comedy. Saving the day is the stalwart supporting cast of Linda Lavin as Zoe's grandmother, Tom Bosley (Mr Cunningham from TV's Happy Days) as her grandfather and Robert Klein, who's confidently chipper as her gynaecologist. Lopez deserves better than this excruciating material. In fact, all actors do.

When Zoe tires of looking for Mr. Right, she decides to have a baby on her own. But on the day she's artificially inseminated, she meets Stan, who seems to be just who she's been searching for all her life. Now, Zoe has to figure out how to make her two life's dreams fit with each other.
