Overview:
You'll need wellingtons to wade through all the slush in this contrived and rather sickly romantic drama. Eager to push the obvious buttons, it sees struggling pulp fiction author Dean Winters inadvertently receive an entire life makeover when he's asked to look after an ex-girlfriend's six-year-old daughter (Emily Mae Young) for a few weeks. But though the youngster's precocious problem-fixing is undoubtedly meant to be ultra-cute and amusing - particularly when she's matchmaking with former Baywatch babe Yasmine Bleeth - in truth her mini-adult act is increasingly creepy and unbelievable. That said, none of the performances are very convincing, a fact compounded by writer/director Bryan Michael Stoller's weak execution and frequently cheesy script.
